The main raw material used for making PP caps is 8011 aluminum-iron-silicon alloy, an industry-recognized aluminum material specifically for bottle caps. The internal chemical composition is strictly controlled: iron 0.65%~0.95%, silicon 0.32%~0.68%, and the total content of harmful impurities such as copper and manganese is less than 0.15%, eliminating the risk of heavy metal leaching. The standard thickness range for our 8011 aluminum closure sheet products is 0.17mm~0.26mm, with a thickness tolerance of ±0.005mm controlled throughout the cold rolling process, ensuring uniform thickness across the entire sheet. We can customize both roll and flat sheet forms according to customer cutting requirements, with widths ranging from 420mm to 980mm. Utilizing grain-oriented rolling technology, the overall ear-forming rate of the sheet is consistently ≤1.7%, significantly reducing production losses such as wrinkling, cracking, and uneven cup rims during the deep-drawing of PP caps.

Two work hardening states of 8011 aluminium sheet for PP caps are clearly defined, precisely matching the production of PP caps for beverages of different volumes and alcohol contents:

1. 8011 H14 (Semi-hard)

Tensile strength 128~158MPa, yield strength 112~135MPa, elongation after fracture ≥3.2%. Highly ductile with low springback, it is the first choice for small and medium-sized PP anti-theft caps for red wine, low-alcohol fruit wine, and sake. Smooth stamping and stretching, gentle and uniform torsion torque of the anti-theft ring, easy to open bottles, suitable for mass production of lightweight bottle caps for mass-market beverages, compatible with high-speed stamping equipment of 400~900 pieces/minute.

2. 8011 H16 (3/4 hard)

Tensile strength 165~195MPa, yield strength 145~172MPa, stronger sheet rigidity, elongation ≥2.1%. With increased hardness, the molded bottle caps are stiffer and less prone to denting and deformation. The anti-theft bridge has stronger tensile strength and a wider torsional torque range, making it suitable for high-proof spirits, vodka, and large-capacity flavored liquor PP bottle caps. It can withstand the compression deformation caused by long-distance sea transport and high and low temperature environments, resulting in superior sealing durability.

The 8011 h14 h16 aluminium sheet for PP caps can be roller-coated on both sides with a food-grade polyester inner coating and a printed outer coating. The coating thickness on one side is 14~17μm, and the adhesion test shows a grade of 0 using the cross-cut adhesion test. It shows no rust after 72 hours of salt spray testing and no paint peeling or fading after 100 hours of alcohol immersion. The aluminum ion migration value fully complies with EU DGCCRF and US FDA food contact safety standards, and there will be no material contamination even after long-term contact with acidic alcoholic beverages. The sheet surface is polished and passivated, resulting in a smooth surface free of pinholes and oil stains. It can undertake color printing, hot stamping, embossing, and other processes to meet the appearance customization needs of overseas brands.
