Aluminum Closure Sheet For Beverage Caps
The beverage industry is characterized by diverse product categories, high-speed production lines, and complex distribution scenarios. Bottle caps, as core components ensuring beverage sealing and security, and providing temper evident and anti-counterfeiting measures, place stringent mass-production-grade requirements on aluminum materials regarding forming efficiency, content tolerance, and batch stability. From bottled drinking water and carbonated beverages to tea drinks and functional beverages, different categories exhibit significant differences in internal pressure levels, pH properties, and end-storage environments, making it difficult for a single material solution to cover all scenarios. Haomei Aluminum focuses on the manufacturing and end-to-end usage characteristics of beverage bottle caps, creating 8011 aluminum closure sheet for beverage caps. With extreme substrate precision, graded mechanical properties, and scenario-specific weather-resistant design, 8011 aluminum closure sheet adapt to the large-scale production and diversified application needs of the global beverage industry.

Beverage bottle caps are generally produced using high-speed, multi-station stamping lines with thousands of stamping cycles per cycle. The uniformity of material thickness and the quality of the sheet shape directly determine production efficiency and waste. Our aluminum closure sheets for beverage bottle caps use 8011 Al-Fe-Si alloy as the core base material, with thicknesses covering the mainstream range of 0.15-0.23mm. Utilizing fully continuous cold rolling closed-loop thickness measurement technology, the thickness tolerance of the entire roll is strictly controlled within ±0.004mm, with a thickness deviation of ≤0.002mm between the beginning and end of the same roll, and a flatness of ≤1.5mm/m. Through directional grain rolling and homogenization annealing processes, the material's ear-making rate is consistently below 1.5%, and the cup rim height deviation after deep drawing is <0.08mm. It can be directly adapted to high-speed stamping production lines of 1200 times/minute or more, significantly reducing equipment debugging frequency and scrap. The overall production yield can reach over 99.7%, effectively helping customers reduce unit manufacturing costs.
For different beverage internal pressure characteristics and cap structures, we offer multiple hardening state options to achieve the optimal balance between performance and cost.
For non-carbonated beverages such as mineral water, tea, and room-temperature fruit juice, the 8011-H12 and H14 tempers aluminum closure sheet offer a balanced strength and ductility, with tensile strengths of 100-130 MPa and 125-160 MPa respectively. They exhibit low springback during molding, and the torsional moment of the tamper-evident ring is gentle and uniform, making them suitable for lightweight tamper-evident caps and easy-tear cap structures.
For carbonated beverages and sparkling water, the 8011-H16 temper aluminum closure sheet offers increased tensile strength of 160-200 MPa, stronger structural rigidity, and the ability to withstand internal pressure up to 0.6 MPa without bulging or deformation, ensuring reliable sealing during long-distance transportation and high-temperature environments.
For large-diameter carbonated bottle caps, 3105 alloy aluminum closure sheet can be used to further enhance deformation resistance.
The differences in beverage ingredients place specific demands on the corrosion resistance and safety of aluminum materials. The aluminum closure sheet for beverage cap features a food-grade functional coating system. The front can be customized with a modified polyester or epoxy coating based on the beverage's characteristics, with a dry film thickness of 12-18μm and adhesion reaching grade 0 in the cross-cut adhesion test. After immersion in a 2% citric acid solution at 40℃ for 72 hours, the coating showed no peeling or discoloration. Aluminum ion migration meets US FDA 21CFR and EU food contact material standards, making it safe for acidic fruit juices, carbonated beverages, and other similar products. The board surface undergoes multi-stage cleaning treatment, free of oil stains and pinholes, allowing for direct application of subsequent printing, hot stamping, and other surface treatments.
The aluminum closure sheet for beverage caps maintains stable performance within a temperature range of -10℃ to 65℃, with no coating cracking or substrate deformation after thermal cycling. It exhibits no white rust after 48 hours of neutral salt spray testing, meeting the distribution needs of coastal areas with high humidity and salinity. The coating meets UV aging resistance standards, showing no significant fading during long-term outdoor display, ensuring a good visual effect on end shelves. Currently, this series of products has been exported to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, South America and other regions. It supports customized alloy conditions, thicknesses and coating solutions, providing global beverage packaging customers with a stable supply guarantee with high cost performance.
